"I attribute my success to the Small Steps to the TOP philosophy.
Everything, no matter how insignificant it may seem at the time, counts."
Through the years, this business has afforded me and my family many luxuries - travel, fine dining and more. But life hasn't always been kind. As a child with dyslexia, I was perceived as slow, even stupid, which didn't do much for my self-esteem or confidence. I spent most days trying to stay under the radar and avoid being called on by the teacher. I was so much of an introvert that I wouldn't speak to someone unless they spoke to me.
After I graduated high school, I got a job in maintenance at a potato chip company. I had always been good with my hands and was mechanically inclined, so I figured I'd do well, and I did. When I was promoted to manager I thought that my $22,000 a year job was the best thing I would accomplish in my life.

Life Before Network Marketing
potato chip company maintenance manager & living in a trailer
It was about this time that I was introduced to network marketing. A friend was having a meeting about water filters and asked if I would come by. Imagine my surprise when I realized that these folks invited me to explore a business opportunity - I thought I was invited to build a display for their filters.
I took my experience and began working with a nutritional supplement company with a highly consumable product. Not long after, I received a commission check for $3,000 and thought, "What a great payout." Soon my check had grown to $5,000 and I couldn't help but think how great it was to be earning this money AND be in business for myself. Each month the check continued to grow until it reached about $45,000. I admit to dreaming about the day when my check would reach six digits but this business is not just about the money. There is truly something to be said for creating residual income, helping others and being a part of something you believe in.

After a few hours of talk of leverage, residual income and the advantages of direct selling, I was on board. I wrote a check for the filters and went home and told my fiancee of my new venture. I didn't know much about network marketing, but I knew the neighboring town had the worst water around. Turns out the filters were easy to sell - the problem was that they weren't consumable which meant the customer would not need to reorder every month.

Life After Achieving Network Marketing Success
three homes, time to enjoy life and my family, plus all the toys including my Harleys!
I am living proof that network marketing can change your life beyond your imagination. This business has taken me from a minimum-wage maintenance man to earning millions of dollars. It has given me the confidence to speak in front of thousands of people, write a book about my experiences, develop many business tools and overall become more than I might have been had I not gone down this path. I implore you, don't let others steal your dreams. Have the conviction to pursue them and they will come true.
